Dear Richard and Inkosi Africa
Thank you for my unforgettable and long overdue trip to South Africa.
Meeting you and going on safari with
Inkosi
Africa was definitely the best way to celebrate my milestone birthday
! From petting the contented loin cubs to the thrill of touching the
playful baby elephant, to you having to chase away the cheeky baboon
from our dinner ... it was a vacation unlike or unmatched by any other
! I thoroughly enjoyed your company and humor while learning a lot
about varies birds, trees, animals & history of South Africa. I can't
wait to go back for more adventure.
Thank you for making me feel safe, special & wanting more !
Blessings to you, the team and your family,

Hi Richard. It was magnificent ! .
.
but as if you need more nice things said about you and your tours ! No
you don’t need another one raving about this wonderful safari, but I
do.

Dear Richard,
It
was really fantastic holiday in South Africa!
We are
both now sure that we want to spend more time in Africa, to work on
development projects and to get to know more of Africa.
We
wanted to thank you once more for the tours that you have organized
for us. We have learned so much from you. It is a pleasure to meet a
person with so much knowledge and positive energy.
We hope
to stay in touch with you for the future.

It
was the BEST holiday I have ever had.
Richard was at the airport to pick us up and from there the
information and trivia flowed. From our very first day we felt we were
amongst friends and it just got better. Highlights were many - seeing
these amazing wild creatures in their natural habitat was awesome,
being able to have interactions with elephants, lions and cheetahs was
extraordinary. A wildcat sat on my lap - wow!
Thanks again Richard and Jono for the trip of a lifetime!
Cool
bananas !!!!!!!

The first day started with warm sunshine and a warm
welcome from Richard Dixon.
Kruger
Park was amazing and on our first day we saw so many animals in their
natural habitat. God was really
blessing
us with such variety and with so many sightings.
As a city dweller it was such a treat to be outside in the warm
sunshine by day and to share food together around an open barbecue in
the evenings.
Even through Kruger was amazing, to my surprise the tour got even
better - beyond my expectations - walking with lions, hearing them
roar, stroking cheetahs and being only inches away from elephants were
just some of the highlight
It seemed like God was on a mission to bless us with the beauty and
diversity of His creation. The skies was so incredible - the heavens
declare the glory of God !
Everywhere we stayed was clean and comfortable and everyone we met was
friendly and hospitable.
Our tour guide, Richard, did a superb job of looking after us and
drawing out the magnificent detail of God's creation.
Between Richard and the park rangers we felt very safe despite some
very close encounters with the animals !
I would highly recommend Inkosi Safaris and may God continue to bless
their marvellous ministry.
Amen and
Amen !

Hi Richard. Had an awesome time on my
safari. Thanks for all your effort in organising the trip at short
notice, much appreciated. Walking and patting lion and cheetahs is
something you never forget. It was great to see so many animals
through Kruger in their natural habitat instead at a zoo. You
certainly have some animals and scenery. Neil was a great wealth of
information. Not sure yet but we may be back early next year for a
trip up through Zimbabwe.

We
finally arrived home after a long and boring flight. But I am still
excited and amazed at so many thing we saw and experienced because
of your great assistance. I am going to show these pictures to
my grandkids, so they can brag about grandma went to Africa and took
pictures with lions and elephants. You sure were very knowledgable
and kind to take us as many place as you did. We were blessed to
have you as our helper and guide. We had wonderful time. I greatly
appreciate your kindness and hard work.
I’m a
South African who has never visited Namaqualand and Namibia prior to
this trip and as such I was just as wide eyed as the rest of the tour
group. I had a fun filled, enjoyable and ‘fattening’ time – diet to
start immediately!

From start to finish everything was great/swell/corking/wow (take your
pick) … the flowers in Namaqualand - God’s paintbrush at work. Words
aren’t adequate to describe the eye-fest, the atmosphere, the wonder,
the perfection and ….. the food!!! … unfortunately all the meals were
great.
As far as Namibia is concerned – I don’t know what I expected but it
wasn’t what I got. One would think that a desert will be boring, but
then you see the different shades of sand and the way the dunes are
shaped and coloured; you see the small flowers in an otherwise barren
landscape, some spiders nesting in the flowers making use of the shade
...
This is a trip that I will recommend to all my friends.
Inkosi and especially Minette and Richard, thank you for making a life
long dream a reality. Christian Cafe, thank you for putting me in
touch with Inkosi so that this dream could be fulfilled.
To all readers wondering if they should go on this tour – go for it!
All of the best,

"The
whole trip was wonderful and so different from any other holiday I
have had in the past.

For me there were two major highlights, the day in the flower reserve
was like a touch from heaven. The air was pure and clean and like
champagne, the sky was blue and the sun shone. Seeing fields and
valleys filled with flowers could not fail to lift the spirits, and
climbing up the hill was worth every step for the panoramic view from
the top. Lying among the flowers brought back childhood memories of
being close to nature and enjoying the purely sensory input of colour
and smell.
The vasteness of the desert landscapes also enchanted me and the
second highlight was the day we spent at Sossiesvlei among the red
dunes. The play of sunshine on the dunes again made me feel as if I
was in an enchanted place, the constantly changing colours were
wonderful and I could not stop photographing them. Walking among the
dunes reminded me of 'The Lost World of the Kalahari and I felt the
timelessness of this ancient landscape"

Inkosi Africa organized an amazing 5 day trip for me which led us
to the Kruger National Park and from there to the foot of the Blyde
River Canyon.

The
arrangement including a stay at the private game reserve Tsekhudu was
the highlight of the trip (and you think it can’t get better than the
Krueger Park after seeing the big FIVE….?). The panoramic route back
to Johannesburg made the long hours in the van worth while! Minette is
a great tour guide and Richard did a marvelous job putting the tour
together. I got addicted to the bush and would definitely go for
Inkosi again: great people, great spirit, great adventure!

My three
teenagers and I went on a tour with Inkosi Africa to the Drakensburg
Mountains, Durban, St. Lucia, Mozambique, Swaziland,
and
Kruger National Park. It was truly the trip of a lifetime – very
educational and interesting. Richard is very knowledgeable about
wildlife, the native people, the history of South Africa, and the most
interesting places to visit. One of my favorite experiences was seeing
vast multitudes of crabs as the tide was going out on a long stretch
of pristine shoreline in Mozambique. At a watering hole in Kruger we
saw water buffalo, giraffe bending down to drink, zebra playing
together, a wart hog rolling in the mud, a crocodile swimming, and an
elephant putting on a bathing performance – the scene rivaled National
Geographic coverage. There were many other wonderful experiences – too
many to include in this short format. Perhaps most importantly, we saw
how the native people of Africa can be very happy with just the basics
of life, causing us to re-evaluate our lives. We now feel connected
with Africa and care about the well being of the people there. It’s
definitely an experience I recommend!

It's been
a little over a year now since we did our adventure in South Africa.
When we came back home after the trip there was a time with sort of
vacuum to absorb what we been through in South Africa…. and there were
a lots of things spinning around in our minds. … We must say you
became our favourite guide. The reason is that we thought you were
such a nice person, You are very professional as a guide (knowledge
and performance) and does these little extra things (like stopping the
bus in the middles of the road to step out an pick up a shongololo
that you spotted on the road (man you got eyes like an eagle)) and the
most important as a person you a got personality, integrity, caring
and a good sense of humor. You're the man Henry! Eah, Richard!

Having
had the best time of our lives... returning
to Belgium, after such a wonderful trip with this very capable,
knowledgeable, devoted, enjoyable, funny, hilarious and very modest
guide, we cannot help to recall everyday the enjoyable moments we
had.
We are pretty sure to come back some day-month-year.
Promise!

Hi All,
Just returned from the last safari and
had an amazing time. The trip for me was far more than the
incredible sights, animals and creation.
It was about the people, the fellowship
with other Christians, and it was about love and purpose. Letting go
of fears and mind sets that are not His best for me or my life. It
was a journey that took me closer to God than I have been for while.
The trip itself was incredible with so
much to see and experience, it is still in my heart. I fell in love
with Africa, its people and its lifeblood!
The animals were so close and so
majestic as to be breathtaking. I never felt fear, very safe with
experienced guides and so much information and guidance on the
people and customs of the countries we visited.
For me the highlight was the Victoria
falls and an amazing church we found in the Drakensburg mountains
with the presence of God so strong we all were overcome by His
Spirit and a sense of humility.
I highly encourage anyone who is
thinking of going to just do it and let God show you His amazing
world!

My trip to Africa with Inkosi
Safaris was truly amazing! I had a strong desire to go to Africa
for quite a few years and I am so glad that I looked past all the
stereotypes and fears of Africa to finally take the trip. Once I
arrived and was greeted by Richard and the others on my trip I
knew that there was nothing to fear. Richard organized an amazing
15 days for us to see some of the diversity of Africa. The trip to
the mountains in the Drakensburg was beautiful. The people of
Drakensburg made the area even more beautiful to me. They were so
friendly and happy despite the poverty level that most of them
were living in their entire lives. The seven days we spent on
safari were awesome! It is just amazing to see and hear the
animals in their natural environment . Both Richard and our safari
guide, Mike, were very knowledgeable and made me feel very safe
around the animals because of the respect that was given to the
animals by them both. It is just incredible to walk to your tent
under a star-filled sky and to wake up in the middle of the night
to see an elephant walking outside your tent! I think my family
and friends think I am crazy that I actually miss those nights on
safari but once they see my pictures they get a better
understanding of the beauty that Africa has to offer. Our last few
days of the trip touring Victoria Falls was also just incredible.
Victoria Falls is truly breathtaking and provided a perfect end to
our perfect trip. I can’t wait to go back to Africa!!!
It was truly amazing!!!

It was a privilege for me to take part in
this trip to experience God’s hand with us….
The
highlight of the time spent in the Drakensberg with Christians from
around the world, was the Sunday morning visit to a little Zulu
church. Very old (one partially blind) faithful black woman who had
walked for miles (their feet cracked and dry) had gathered together
for the church service. ….. There were only seven of them ….. their
pastor had not arrived ….. but they were delighted that we had come to
praise the Lord with them! …. “co-incidentally” Zulu men were sitting
at the shop next door consuming beer (much to Cheryl’s amazement as it
was 9.30a.m.!)
There is a desperate need for salvation and forgiveness in Africa. The
presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible in the meeting and there was
not a dry eye …. We left there humbled and unable to speak for half an
hour. What an awesome spiritual experience!
God gets the Glory for touching each of us in different ways on this
tour and my thanks goes to Julia ….. and to Richard who gave me the
opportunity for this experience and for connecting me with the
beautiful woman of God from Canada, America and Australia under
Africa’s beautiful skies.
Hope to see you all on the next trip to Namibia!
God Bless

I went on
the June trip and it will be one of the top ten trips of my life I
am sure ! We went with a very small group. There were four of us
and Richard. Then we had a Wildlife guide in Botswana, who was the
best ! a cook and two staff who broke down and set up our camp and
cooked all our meals !
The game
viewing in Botswana is amazing. There is almost always something
to see, tons of elephants, giraffe, hippos, monitors, impala,
kudu, wildebeests, beautiful birds !, hyenas, warthogs, buffalo…
we got very lucky and saw lions and a leopard up close !!!
We all got
along very well. In our group there was lots of laughter and fun
as well as prayer and spiritual growth and some times of serious
talks… Richard has some amazing adventure stories ! I am sure he
will share if you prompt him.
Keep in mind
it is a third world country so there are always unexpected things
that occur of which you have no control, but that is also part of
the adventure. I believe I was always SAFE but there were times I
was scared. I had never been that close to wild animals before. To
hear lions and elephants and hippos making noises at night outside
your tent is an experience I will never forget.
I would do
it again in a heartbeat !!
I could go
on and on…
AFRICA ! YES
!

I was on the
June trip to Africa, and I have to say, I had too
much fun, if that is possible. We saw a ton of animals close up
and hearing the lions roar near the tent at night was a real
thrill !
I arrived to meet a group of
strangers and left Africa with a group of new friends. It was a
great experience that I have learnt a lot from as we were all from
quite different backgrounds but shared a sense of adventure.
Variety really is the spice of life!
Although there were times that I
was full of adrenaline (ok, scared to death) I look back now and
realise that we were safe at all times.
Before I got there, I wasn’t sure
what to expect accommodation-wise, but we really had the best of
both worlds: being in the midst of wildlife, and comfort. I’ve had
to go on a diet afterwards because the chefs at the campsite were
sooooo good, but now I can’t wait for another adventure !

“The safari was very well organised and Richard went out of his
way to meet individual requests. I enjoyed the experience as a
whole and in particular the actual safari. I have shown my
pictures to so many people and relive the experience each time. It
has made me realise how awesome the experience was and how much
fun we had. I would have no hesitation in recommending Inkosi
Africa Safaris!”

Since I was
a boy I have always dreamed of going to Africa. Thanks to Inkosi and Richard
Dixon, that dream became a reality in June 2007.
My adventure to Africa is one that
I will never forget! I am so glad that I chose Inkosi Safari.
Everything was turn key. I did not have to do
anything, no hustling for hotels or meals. I just had to show up
and enjoy Africa. It truly was a worry free trip packed full of
the sites and sounds
of what makes Africa a legend in our minds.
Thanks Richard and thanks Inkosi
for giving me an adventure of a life time!

Zimbabwe with Richard. Helen and I had a wonderful trip — What an
experience it was! No complaints until Air Canada delayed our
return to Vancouver by 6 hours. Thank you so much for your part in
our safari. It truly was a trip of a lifetime and leaves us with
many awe-inspiring memories!”

Moçambique
I
went on a tour with
Richard to Moçambique. I
was and still am interested in the
question of what God wanted me to
do, what could I do? What would be
useful to the Church, Africa,
others, God, Myself?
It was useful to remove myself
from my routine and go see how
others lived. Mozambique was
beautiful, vast, with tremendous
potential. The people were poor. A
father who walks three days
through the bush feeding his child
water to get to infant formula
after his wife had died. A blind
man given a job on a mission
station. There is no social
welfare so the blind are
vulnerable. He burst into singing
to show his appreciation. This is
sincere worship.
I saw dedicated missionaries who
challenged me by their lives to a
greater love for God and man.
I saw the Church work together to
build people. I saw cultural error
in my Church, God’s Church? so
clearly now I know exactly why we
are dying. And what God wants to
do about it.
I left the land like Caleb, seeing
giants but trusting God.
Literally, I faced the question
Caleb? Or doubting spy?
I spent the following years trying
and growing, and returning to the
lessons learned with Richard.
Without hesitation I can recommend
a pilgrimage into Africa and
yourself with Richard. The
personal growth I underwent
continues to this day.
Sincerely,
Ivan Hague
